Celebrating 15 Years of Unforgettable Days: The Dralla Foundation’s Remarkable Journey

For 15 incredible years, the Dralla Foundation has been transforming lives by creating unforgettable days for children, teens, and adults with physical challenges. What began in 2011 as a mission to open doors to joy, inclusion, and adventure has grown into a powerful movement—one that continues to uplift communities nationwide.

Today, as we celebrate this milestone anniversary, we honor the stories, partnerships, and life changing experiences that define the heart of Dralla.

A Mission Rooted in Joy and Possibility

Since its founding, Dralla has stayed committed to a simple but profound goal:
Give individuals with physical challenges the chance to experience a day they will never forget.
Through its annual grant program, the foundation provides funding to nonprofit organizations across the United States that share this mission—supporting adaptive sports, outdoor adventures, recreational activities, day trips, and other programs designed to spark joy and independence.

President Peter Allard describes it best:

“The mission of Dralla Foundation is to make unforgettable days possible for children, teens, and occasionally adults living with physical challenges.”

Fifteen Years of Impact: Thousands of Lives Touched

Over the past decade and a half, Dralla has supported dozens of nonprofit organizations; each helping participants build confidence, make friends, push boundaries, and simply enjoy being part of something extraordinary.
From adaptive archery camps, surf days, and accessible adventure programs, to overnight experiences, recreational sports, and creativity driven activities, the foundation’s reach is broad and growing. Each year highlights new organizations empowered through Dralla’s support.

How Dralla Creates Life Changing Experiences

Dralla’s impact is built on three core pillars:

  1. Empowering Nonprofit Partners
Eligible U.S. nonprofit organizations (501(c)(3) status) can receive grants to host events that serve individuals with physical challenges. These events must create meaningful, joyful, and memorable experiences for participants.
  2. Removing Barriers to Participation
Grants enable organizations to offer programs that might otherwise be inaccessible—whether due to cost, equipment needs, staffing, or specialized accommodations.
  3. Building Community Through Shared Experiences
Every program encourages connection—between participants, families, volunteers, and caregivers—strengthening the supportive communities that champion disability inclusion.
